After 8 months of downward spiraling depression, weight gain, and deep lethargy from withdrawal from a strong hormonal imbalance, I’m finally back to myself!! I’m an entrepreneur and mother of three. I’ve been on overdrive with my work, ridden with anxiety, depression and sleepless nights - no doubt all influenced by my year long intake of the seizure medication prescribed by my doctor as a remedy for insomnia. After only one and a half weeks, the therapeutic and lifestyle recommendations have already influenced my sleep and emotions. After two and a half weeks I’m almost fully off of the seizure medication. I’ve got more work to do but it’s so great to remember that these kinds of shifts with food, meditation, yoga and other daily practices work! I started to practice yoga after retirement at the age of 68. I am so grateful for my work with Evelyn. After my discharged from the Marine Corps I was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury (P.T.S.D.). The trauma recovery treatment team at the VA recommended that I try yoga and meditation.
